Email Services

Mailfor is a system developed by NCL Computing Limited, which aims to greatly simplify the process for getting your own professional email service. You don't need any technical knowhow, just your contact details so we can get in touch when everything is ready. We provide a system that is sure to resolve any of your email troubles, whether it ivolves mitigating spam, improving email delivery, or just providing a super simple service that suits you.

Once you've selected one of our storage options and processed payment, we'll start doing the required configuration to set up your new mail service. Depending on the setup, this could take up to 24 hours (particularly if you've ordered a new domain name, due to DNS propagation limitations). If we require you to do any changes such as adding DNS records, we'll get in touch and detail exactly what we need to get things working.

Once we've verified the setup is complete and ran initial testing, we then hand over all the relevant components for access, and that's it!

You decide what you need, we deliver, and you start sending. Easy as that.

With Mailfor, we offer two ways for you to access your emails, anytime, anywhere. You can either:

- Access via webmail client in browser, which will be provided to you when you purchase your system. This is a great way to quickly view your emails and change account settings.

- Access via IMAP, which is connected through a mail client (Outlook, eMClient, Thunderbird etc). This method requires a bit of setup, but we provide you with all the necessary details, and is ideal for creating a personalised email environment.

Access can be configured through the Mailfor Admin system, allowing you to create accounts and reset passwords on the fly.

We understand this is a concern for you, and moving off from your existing system can be confusing. But this shouldn't hold you back from your very own business email. A lot of email service providers (ESPs) offer an automatic forwarding service, to send all emails from your old mail service to your brand new Mailfor service.

To do this, you can simply turn on the 'auto-forward' setting for your relevant ESP:

- Gmail - Auto-Forward With Gmail
- Hotmail/Outlook - Auto-Forward With Hotmail/Outlook
- Yahoo - Auto-Forward With Yahoo (Unfortunately Yahoo block this behind Yahoo Pro or the Access + Forwarding feature)

We utilise a multi-layer approach to spam filtering, which contains several steps to analysing the mail to verify whether it is legitimate or not. Checking DNS, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records is at the core of the analysis. Once these are verified, extensive checks are then performed on the headers and content of the mail, to effectively mitigate phishing attacks, viruses, and general junk email.

We don't blindly mark as spam either. From several months of data collection and testing, we discovered that within 2000 emails, only 1 was a false positive. This gives us a 99.5% accuracy with email delivery, something which we still strive to improve with each development.

Account

We provide your account details the moment your service is ready with us. Once you purchase your desired mail system, we get to work to create your solution and provision all relevant components once completed. This includes your domain webmail client, Mailfor Admin account, and any mailboxes you have requested to be created.

Since this is a few passwords to remember, we highly recommend the use of a password manager such as KeePass or LastPass to securely store this information.

The Mailfor Admin account is used to access our bespoke administration service, to easily manage your domain mail service on the fly. You can create and modify mailboxes and quota allocation, create aliases to forward mail, manage your spam quarantine and raise support requests in case of any issues.

This is to give you full control on how you want to administer your storage quota. Whether you want lots of small mailboxes, or one mailbox to use the whole domain quota, you can flexibly modify this at any time to suit your needs.

No problem, reach out to us and we will get in touch with the contact details we have on file to verify it's really you. We'll do some checks to confirm who is making the request and we may call you if we are uncertain about the request. Once we're happy it's you, we'll then issue your new password in a secure method.

If you need to talk to us, you can do so via the support request system in the Mailfor Admin console. You can create support tickets for any subject, whether it's an issue with your mail system, some suggestions for improvements, of just some feedback on how we're doing.

Depending on the priority of your request, we'll respond to you as soon as possible, and will always respond with the best technical assistance.

We're sorry to see you go, but if you decide to cancel your service, you can do so via your Mailfor Admin login, under the Support tab. If you raise a support request with 'cancel service', we'll then get in touch with you about the cancellation process.

The usual process consists of us cancelling your subscription with immediate effect, then we will outline when your service expires, by which point your sending and receiving will be disabled. We will then give you 1 month of access to your mailboxes to allow you to move any emails that you still need, after this period they will be removed from storage.

If you have purchased a domain with us, we will consult with you on whether you'd like to transfer the domain, or let it expire. If you choose to let it expire, the name will remain for the remainder of the registration period. After this period, it will be released.
